Question: I need to scan the drive but it's not listed in your product.
Answer: SoftAmbulance Partition Doctor can access the drives visible in your system as standard storages. If you're trying to scan mobile phone or digital camera that appears in My Computer as a drive without drive letter, you will need to get the memory card from the device and connect it to the system using card reader. If you have such problem with Hard Drive, make sure it's visible in BIOS and is not disabled, try to connect it to another interface port.
Question: I can't see my partition in Windows and your product does not display it, but I can see the physical drive available in your product.
Answer: Start the wizard and choose physical drive to scan. If you have had on this drive any other partition except NTFS, click "Yes" and continue. If you had on this drive only Windows XP\Vista\7 leave "No". Choose wich type of filesystem you need to find and click next. After the scan complete, you should get at least one virtual drive mounted in Partition Doctor. Scan it as usual disk and recover your data.
Question: What do I need to do to recover my lost partition?
Answer: Open the physical drive in Partition Doctor like usual disk in My Computer. Answer Yes, if you need to recover FAT or Linux Partitions or select No in case of NTFS. When you click Next, the fast partition scan will be performed. If you will not see the partition you need in the list of found partitions, do not confirm that your partitions have been recovery and answer No to start deep partition scan. When the partition you need will be recovered, select it and click Next, select the file system of partition, and the scan for the files and folder will be started. After it, you will be able to browse your partition and recover the data you need.
Question: I've recovered the partition, but some files are missing. How can I get them?
Answer: Next your step should be to try Photo Undelete for pictures and videos and Email Recovery for email messages. These products have improved algorithms for specific file formats, and may recover more files than Partition Doctor in selected cases.
Question: I need to recover data from RAID. Can your product assist me?
Answer: If you've deleted some files from raid, or your folder just disappeared, but you still can access the array, you can try to scan it with our product like usual logical partition or physical device. If you can't access your RAID in Windows, and the Raid Array is not available in our product as single device, our product can help you only if you've used RAID Level 1. In this case try to scan single drive from array like usual HDD. If this will not bring your files back, try another drive, as RAID-1 can be based on two or more drives.
