Question: How to use the Recovery product?
Answer: To recover your lost data with SoftAmbulance Partition Doctor product, you need to scan the drive, find the files and folders and recover them to another drive. Partition Doctor can reconstruct the damaged partitions in most cases so you will get your files with original names and untouched folder structure even when other solutions will not be able to perform that.
Question: How to protect my lost files from further damage?
Answer: It's important to avoid recovering to the same partition to prevent your data from further damage, if you will try to do this - you will be warned. It's also necessary to protect the drive from any other write operations.
Question: I'm afraid I can damage my lost files when recovering.
Answer: While our product will warn you if you will try to recover the data to the same partition, it also protects the data from damage during scanning: it does not write anything to the source drive. The only possible situation when the data may be damaged during scanning is when your drive has heavy physical problems and change the information or damage drive surface on read operations.
Question: What else can help me in data recovery?
Answer: Make sure your drive is connected to the motherboard directly via SATA, ATA or SCSI. Use the native interface and do not use adapters such as USB. If your drive is NAS, extract the HDD from the device and connect it to the motherboard.
